The Art & Heart of Collaboration
Collaboration (from the Latin colaborare): to work together
Collaboration is demanded of us almost every day. Yet often competing interests get in the way, sometimes even internally. (“I really want our team to succeed vs. “It’s important to me that I get the credit.”) School didn’t teach us how to manage differences and emerge with a cohesive, effective result. It’s time to refine the art of it, by getting to the heart of it.
The Art & Heart of Collaboration is active, fun, challenging, and profound. It is an immersive experience in the aptitudes, attitudes, and practices that mark highly effective teams and team members.
Participants will learn to:
Clarify & focus collaborative intention and attention
Align competing interests from the inside and the outside
Know when to hold ’em and when to fold ‘em
Mine the gold in hidden agendas
Communicate in ways that encourage trust and collaboration in and from others
Build agreements that last - and work
Enhance individual and group satisfaction and success
Format
The Art & Heart of Collaboration includes intensive coaching, experiential processes, and real-life work sessions to maximize lasting and transferable learning, both insight-based and skill-based. It is appropriate for both intact teams and mixed groups.
